US Air Force and especially Captain David Flaggard show that some people actually understand how to manage a brand’s reputation online. This is the revised 2009 edition, which takes into account a lot of comments from the blogosphere and Twitter.

I like this diagram because it outlines what in my opinion is the first PR rule of engagement:

- When any communication affects your brand or reputation: think, then react intelligently to what happens around you. Never ignore an attack, or a praise, always react intelligently.

This diagram is a clear thinking guide, and it’s useful for us all, since we all have a reputation, and in the end the reputation is you.
