A wise advice from ancient Greeks, famously echoed by Juvenal a Roman poet of old. In Greek γνῶθι σεαυτόν or gnothi seauton; good advice for anyone seeking to become a better person. Know your talents, your limits, your possibilities.
The Bible even adds a corollary to this wise saying, it is written:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
In this case knowing yourself and knowing God and his ways, are both related. Good advice… seek truth.
