Remembering Sir Arthur C. Clarke.

Author Arthur C. Clarke died today, he foresaw artifical intelligence, geodesic satellites, space travel, globalization and the many dangers behind technology. In spite of all the evidence and the violence he saw on the 20th. century, he remained the eternal optimist.

On his last video, which aired late last year on YouTube he said:

“Communications technologies are necessary but not sufficient for us humans to get along with each other, this is why still we have many disputes and conflicts in the world… we also need qualities like tolerance and compassion to achieve greater understanding between peoples and nations”

He was not an atheist like many believe, rather a Deist, who distrusted organized religion but exhibited many kind and I would dare say spiritual traits.

RIP, Sir. Arthur C. Clarke, the world has lost a visionary.
